Outcome breakdown
3-way hedge: cover every outcome
For a three-way match result, home, draw and away must all be represented. Do not mix markets with different settlement rules.
This 3-way hedge calculator keeps your original stake on A and sizes a new stake for each remaining outcome so that every result returns the same amount. A market with only two outcomes is a 2-way hedge: use the standard hedge calculator.
4-way and 5-way hedges
Change the outcome count to add D and E for a four-way or five-way market, such as a group winner or a small futures field. The original A stake stays fixed; the tool calculates the other stakes.
When you go back to fewer outcomes, the removed rows are left out of the calculation and the previous result is marked as out of date.
Multi-way is not a multi-leg parlay
This model covers one market with exclusive outcomes. It does not price correlated legs or multiple bets on overlapping events. If you are looking for a multi bet hedge calculator for an accumulator or parlay with one leg left, use the parlay hedge calculator.
For a 3-bet hedge across home, draw and away, keep the original home stake as A and enter draw and away as B and C. If you mean a three-leg accumulator, only the final unresolved leg can be handled by the parlay tool. More than one open leg creates combinations of results that this calculator does not model.
Worked example
- A $100 bet on outcome A at 4.00 returns $400 if A wins.
- Outcomes B and C are also 4.00, so each needs $400 ÷ 4.00 = $100.
- Total cash staked is $300 and every outcome returns $400, so each nets $100.
Common questions
No. A hedge can equalize a loss, and prices, fees or settlement differences can change the result.
No. The calculator does not connect to any sportsbook or exchange. Enter the prices you are actually offered and check them again before you place anything.
Each extra stake is rounded to the cent before the outcomes are recalculated, so a result can show a one-cent range.
